It's easy to get matched with carpool prospects along your routes. Follow these guidelines for an effective user experience.

  • Use the app often to add your routes.

  • We encourage you to inspect your list of upcoming trips often.

  • Communicate! Remember to get in touch with matches as soon as possible, to prearrange pick up and drop-off. Let all passengers know if you decide to cancel your trip.

  • Be clear about your reimbursement expectations (in cash or through some mobile payment service).

  • If matched for package-delivery only, we ask that you DO NOT accept packages until the contents are examined and confirmed safe to be transported.

  • Drivers have a final choice about who is riding in their vehicle, therefore the individual is responsible for making appropriate choices to ride with passengers they believe are safe and responsible.

We understand that finding carpool is hard. That is why it's our goal to ensure you're matched with available drivers along your intended route as soon as possible. Follow these guidelines for an effective user experience.

  • Communicate! Get in touch with the driver as soon as there's a match, to prearrange pick up and drop-off. Let the driver know if you decide to cancel your trip.

  • Be clear about reimbursement options (in cash or through some mobile payment service), don't wait for the driver to ask.

  • Be respectful and flexible. Drivers have to make multiple stops along the way.

  • For package deliveries, drivers MUST be permitted to inspect the content of items they are delivering for safety reasons.

Where is Transit Hop available?

Transit Hop is currently available only in the US and Canada.

What payment methods are accepted?

We do not solicit for tips for an upcoming carpool from passengers. Please, do not respond to any solicitation for payment. Instead, we encourage passengers to tip in person, shortly before their trip, through the driver's intended reimbursement option.

How do I cancel my trip information?

Once a match is made between a driver and passenger, Transit Hop can no longer remove your trip information from your schedule. However, we encourage our users to reach out to the driver/passenger(s) and let them know about the cancellation.
